This very Moment
GER 2003, 94 min
A woman abandons her two stepchildren in Poland. A modern adaption of the fairy tale “Hänsel and Gretel”.
Synopsis
As a variation on “Hänsel and Gretel”, THIS VERY MOMENT tells the story of a flustered stepmother who dumps her husband’s children on the side of the road during a shopping trip to Poland. Afraid of repurcussions, she does not tell him what happened and returns home pretending everything is fine. However, when the father discovers his children are missing, he starts a desperate search and is willing to give up everything to find them. Sylvia tries to help him and comfort him. While the children are trying their best to get home and the police are no help, the father and stepmother go out on their own to find the children.
