Maike Mia Höhne

Maike Mia Höhne is a film maker and curator. She has been directing and shaping the then newly founded section Berlinale Shorts of the Berlin International Film Festival from 2007-2019. She works world wide as a curator and juror for several institutions and festivals and is involved in film funding on a regional and national level. Höhne teaches film at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. She lives with her husband and her two children in Hamburg. From 2019 onwards she has appointed the new artistic director of Shortfilm Festival Hamburg.
