Philip Gröning

About the director

Philip Gröning was born in Düsseldorf in 1959. He grew up in Düsseldorf and in the USA. He traveled through South America and studied medicine and psychology. 1982 he started making films and his study at the Munich Film School (HFF). Philip Gröning devoted to screenwriting and began working for Peter Keglevic and Nicolas Humbert as an actor. Philip Gröning lives and works in Düsseldorf and Berlin.
Since 1986 he has his own production company.
