Volksbühne at Rosa-Luxemburg-Square, Berlin - The wild years
With the production of 'Die 120 Tage von Bottrop' and his 'Neue Volksfilm' Christoph Schlingensief moved into Frank Castorf's Volksbühne at Rosa-Luxemburg-Square in Berlin 1996 and triggered a video- and film boom.
Some films were produced by Volksbühne: 'Dämonen', 'Der Idiot', '24 Stunden sind kein Tag' and 'Hamlet_X', others like 'Freakstars 3000' and 'Stadt als Beute' were inspired and co-produced by Volksbühne.
